Appeal to raise the amount of doctoral scholarship

Dear Doctoral Candidates,

The Head of the PhD Students’ Union, Przemyslaw Mroczkowski, today sent a letter to His Magnificence Rector of UW, Prof. Dr. Alojzy Z. Nowak, regarding an increase in the amount of the doctoral scholarship.

Due to the increase by the Minister of Education and Science of the amount of the minimum monthly salary of a professor to 7210 PLN (regulation on this matter: https://isap.sejm.gov.pl/isap.nsf/DocDetails.xsp?id=WDU20230000016), Przemysław Mroczkowski appeals in his letter to issue a relevant order and adjust the amount of the stipend to the minimum amount resulting from the provisions of generally applicable law.
