The Doctoral Students’ Ombudsman at the University of Warsaw Takes Office

The office of the Ombudsman for Doctoral Candidates has been launched at the University of Warsaw. The position has been assumed by Piotr Paszkowski from the Doctoral School of Humanities. The Ombudsman’s responsibilities include safeguarding the rights of doctoral candidates at the University of Warsaw and providing assistance in their individual cases.

Piotr Paszkowski is a fourth-year doctoral candidate in the discipline of philosophy. In the 2024/25 term, he served on the Board of the PhD Student’s Union, and in the 2025/26 term, he was a member of the Audit Committee. He currently serves as an expert for the Polish National Representation of Doctoral Candidates on the evaluation of doctoral schools and as a member of evaluation panels of the Science Evaluation Committee.
