Training PRELUDIUM 21
PhD Students’ Union invites you to an online training on the PRELUDIUM 21 competition, which will be held on 19.05 from 2 PM – 4 PM. The training will be conducted by experts from the Office of Research Administration. During the training, you will receive a knowledge pill about the NCN competition.During the training the following topics will be discussed: How to plan costs?, How is the application assessed? and many more. Registration is required. The training will take place on the Zoom platform and it will be recorded. Registration for the training will be open until May 18 (Wednesday) until 23:59 (or until the limit of places is reached). The training link will be sent to all enrolled persons on the training day to the e-mail addresses provided in the registration form.
Fulbright Junior Research Award – webinar and Q&A

It is a perfect opportunity to get a scholarship at an American academic institution of your choice. For more details, PhD Students’ Union and Fulbright Poland invite you to the webinar – which will take place on May 8th at 8 pm. Member of the PhD Students’ Union, Maciek Kolanowski (Faculty of Physics at UW, currently Fulbrighter at the University of California, Santa Barbara), will tell you all you need to know to apply, and he will answer any questions you might have. Hopefully.
Information meeting on the 1st IDUB competition for research (under Action IV.4.1)
We cordially invite you to the online information meeting on the 1st competition for co-financing scientific research by doctoral candidates at the University of Warsaw (under Action IV.4.1). The meeting will be held remotely on the Zoom platform. It will be led by the Competition coordinator, dr Przemysław Decewicz.To participate in the meeting, please register. Registration for the training will be open until 14.02 (Monday) until 8PM (or until the limit of places is reached). The link to the meeting will be sent to all enrolled PhD students on the 15.02 to the e-mail addresses provided in the registration form. The meeting will not be recorded, but based on the questions and doubts of PhD students, FAQ will be prepared, which will be posted on the competition website.
Training on the rights and obligations of PhD students
PhD Students’ Union invites you to an online training, during which participants will receive a knowledge pill useful for the beginning of education in doctoral schools. The training will take place on October 7 form 5 PM to 7 PM on the Zoom platform.
The trainings will answer the following questions:
- What is IPB and mid-term evaluation?
- How much scholarship will you receive and what contributions will be deducted from it?
- Where can you get funding for research?
- What rights do you have as a PhD student and what are your obligations?
- If you encounter any problem at the University, where can you get help?
We will also answer the most important question that you are sure to ask yourself – what are the organs of the Doctoral Student Government and how to join them? The first half-hour of training will be conducted by an employee of the University of Warsaw Library, during which he/she will talk about the first steps of a young researcher at the University Library, with particular emphasis on access to electronic resources.
